Oct 22nd and 23rd 2011. Memphis Sport Shooting Assn is proud to host the Tennessee State mid Range championship. Shooting at 300, 500 and 600 yards for two days. Fclass and Conventional Prone. We need a couple of Juniors to show up and some Women to give a trophy too so please bring some friends with and have some fun on a range that has about 60 National Mid Range Records to its credit in F O class, FTR, Conventional Prone.

Attached is the information you need prior to arriving.

Best of luck to all the shooters.

Looking like we are getting alot of F class intrest this year again. If you want to rub elbows with some of the National Team guys like Mr Biggs or Mr Murphy your welcome to come on down.... or up which ever the case may be. Fantastic range to shoot on. Its cut out of the middle of some trees and is very nice to shoot on.
20 Shots at 300, 500 and 600 yards Sat and Sunday. If your a NRA Sling shooter one day is Optics the other is iron. Fclass.... well you scope both days, but the target is alot smaller....

See the attached Document for details.

Hope to you all can make it.

Russ et al....

Haven't seen any info about special deals for shooters at local motels. Have y'all made any yet, such as at the Best Western?

Frank B.

I understand from speaking to him that newly-crowned F-Open National Champion Jim Murphy will be in attendance...

Good Question Frank

Ill look into it. ( Im going to ask Doug Actually )

In the past we had a special rate with the Best Western, not sure if we are still good with that situation and want to check before I say Ya or nay.

I guess that answers my question.

Why some states do and some states don't blows me.

If you travel to a state tourny and can't win, why would you go in the first place?

High score wins the match overall. This is what we strive for (I'm from out of state-Alabama). The Tennessee resident with the high score is the Tennessee State Champ. See you there. Good luck.

I'm shooting the Mississippi State shoot insted of Tn.

Mississippi allows you to hold the state title if you win. So does La. You get a throphy and cash and the title.

I won Tn. state at Oak Ridge a month or two ago and did'nt even get anything to hang in my reloading room. he he

Due to a well-documented mix up, there were two F-class state LR championships this year in TN. At the first one at AEDC in May, awards/trophies were given for both the state resident winner and the overall winner. The gentlemen's agreement for next year is to have one state championship for LR f-class at AEDC in the spring of 2012 and again award trophies for both state and overall winner. That should alleviate the confusion from this year.

One thing worth noting is that at least 2-3 current and former F-class national champions will be in attendance at the TN mid-range match in Memphis, so if you appreciate the opportunity to shoot with these competitors this is a good chance to learn from the best.

I'll be in Memphis Oct 22 & 23.
Tell me about this MS match. What club, where, etc. Do they have 1000yds?

Thanks for clearing up the confusion. I shot the April 30th - May 1st Tullahoma match and later read about the 2nd LR State Championships. There are some excellent shooters in the area. I look forward to the results.
