This is incorrect. I've been told by one manufacturer to use it.I (and all) suppressor manufacturers advise against using anything other than the direct threads or the appropriate adaptor.

I was talking with Beast Master about this subject. Nothing should be used including the Break washer that comes on a lot of rifles. The runout on a suppressor has a very tight tolerance, generally .010" or less. Anything added can cause misalignment and an internal strike which will damage the suppressor.Do you use Teflon tape on threads when you mount suppressor on rifle?
