Target for Low Power Scope

If you have read any of my other posts, you know that I am new to precision loading and I have been playing around with a factory Remington Model 7 "Predator" in 223 Rem. While testing out some loads I noticed that I had a hard time finding a way to aim at a target that was not really large enough to see well on 6 power (Leupold 1.75 x 6). I decided to make my own targets by first stealing a design off of the internet and then tweaking it. I shrunk the original image down so that I could get two of them on a piece of paper and add a load data chart next to it. I then filled in the squares around the center and created heavy cross hairs in the middle of the target. My hope is that I will be able to see a better reference for my scopes duplex even if I cannot see the dead center of the target.

I have attached the target to this thread so you can take a look, give some suggestions on improvement, or use it for yourself.

Thank you!

Andy,
Looks like you've put in a lot of work so you can better see the target you are shooting at. I think you'd serve yourself well to start saving up for a more powerful scope. Weaver and Mueller make a number of scopes that have good clarity for the price. There are other brands as well that won't break the bank. Prices vary depending on the vendor. PM me once you decide on the power you need and I can search out some of the vendors I've used as I always price check before buying. Nice used scopes pop up in the Classified on this site. But overall, I think you'd be better off in the long run by buying yourself a higher powered scope. But nice job on the attached target.
