Tang dynamics

Can anyone tell me exactly why Savage actions shoot better with the tang floated and Remington shoots better with the tang bedded?

I know from research and experience bedding many rifles that this works respectively but for the life of me I can't figure out why.

Maybe the action screw configuration.

The rear Rem screw is through the tang. Savage screws are forward.
Wouldn’t work too well to have the tang float, and then tighten it down.

I think it depends. A lot of the Factory savage actions have the rear screw torqued and the tang buried in the stock that it puts a lot of bending stress on the action.
If the action is bedded properly with the action bedded at both action screws and the tang allowed to "float" or at least that there is no pressure at all on the tang and the barrel is free floated IMO gives the best results. Bedding the barrel nut is dealers choice but I do not. YMMV.
