V block/bedding??

I've done a "bunch" Savage rifles. The last one was with a Whidden V block. 8) Came out super! ;D
This time I'am adding a V block to a Remington XP rifle.
Question is:
The Savage likes the tang "floated".
The Remington likes the tang bedded.
If the action is mounted in a V block, what about the tang? Daylight under the tang or hard bedded on the stock?? All input appreciated and thanks in advance, Mike.

I thought the Whidden block went all the way under the tang on the Remmy. The rear pilar is back there...

Keith: I just checked the block. You're correct and it does.
I didn't pay that much attention to the block.
I'am just thinking too far ahead. :-[ Looks like you answered my question. ;D Just one less thing to worry about. Thanks, Mike.
