Tales from the creedmoor aisle

Yes it does.
My wife's family is from Guam.
1st fry up some spam, I prefer spicy.
Remove from pan after a lil crispy.
Then chop up in lil pieces.
Now add sticky rice,a lil soy sauce, chopped onions, carrots, peas, chilli peppers, some times crack a egg or two. Stirring in frying pan, now add back the spam.
Mmmmm mmm!!

Good grief, I'd be making a run for the Gaviscon, GasX and Pepto.o_O followed up with a dose of Imodium.

I hang out with a couple of guys (one AF one Navy pilot) that were stationed on Guam and they told me that Spam was a real staple/delicacy there. Amazing how different the taste buds are around the world.

Back before WW2 there were a lil over 500 gi's stationed there, they brought the spam I believe.
Anyhow the were invaded by the Japanese all the locals were killed and enslaved including the US troops.
Fast forward a couple years and we came back with an overwhelming force n handed the Japanese their ass, freed the people and built our military bases.
July 21st 1945.

My father vacationed there July and August 1944 with the 3rd Mar Div. Their next stop on the South Pacific vacation cruise was Iwo Jima in Feb 1945

Words that are no longer politically correct at Boing are

Cockpit
Men's room

There's more
The News ran a story about some radio stations were banning “Baby, it’s cold outside” because it promotes inappropriate sexual advances. What’s next?
“He’s looking at me!”
But I digress. The Swedes got it right with the 6.5x55. Pre-Creedmoe. On that subject, can I use high rings to rotate my scope 90 degrees so I can shoot my Creedmoe sideways?

I've seen more than one of those in my lifetime. You overhear "My windage knob is making my elevation change". DUH.

---- a bunch of so called political correct ----.

I hardly recognize "my" country any more with all this PC bull$hit. Things we used to say or do in the 60's or 70's now will get you thrown in jail! My wife is always telling me "you can't say THAT anymore!"

And just think, in another 30 years all these clueless snowflakes will actually be in charge of running the country! Glad I'll be gone by then.

I didn't think but a few would know what a Chamorro was.

If one of my sons had not been stationed on Guam, I sure would not have ever known. They are/were a very resilient people. The one thing he really enjoyed there was the world-class scuba diving.

Way better than Hawaii in case anyone ever is trying to decide between the two.

Very loving and giving all of which they share through food.

You can buy a CM rifle off the rack at Cabela's, grab a box of target ammo, throw a hundred buck scope on it and go shoot an inch or less at a hundred yards off of a Caldwell lead sled. Instant gratification, that's what it's all about in today's world. Along with ballisticians and marketing gurus, I bet Hornady hired psychologists. Can't fault them for that. They're in business to make money.

Those other two cartridges? They require work, persistence, patience and dedication. For the majority of Creedmoor shooters it relieves them of all that.

Off topic. Listen in on the crossbow aisle, 80 yard shots with a 400 fps Xbow, nothing to it.
I just wanna know where you get your emojis!
