Thanks for posting the target for us to see. It’s amazing the tune that you guys achieve to make that happen at 300 meters.

I did get 1 sample bullet. Very interesting, I look forward to seeing more results from testing. I won’t spill the beans regarding secrets other that it’s a turned solid copper bullet…but a few more features I’m not at liberty to talk about.Shot my new (cough) proto type bullet for the Thursday no flag
terror match. Other then two major brain farts, and another issue,
these bullets are going to get more trigger time on them. I believe
you got a sample to ponder, Jeff ??
I’m trying to digest that as well.Wow, a case full of N120. That think must be "smokin" fast!
I'm working with a 30BRS (.080 longer than the standard 30BR), H4198 37.1 grains with BIB 112 running 3250 FPS, shoots really good and had I gotten the opportunity to come this year that is what I would have been shooting.I shoot 35.7 grns of N130 behind my own 112 grn bullet at about 3050 fps.
Is the shoulder moved ..080 further forward?I'm working with a 30BRS (.080 longer than the standard 30BR), N130 37.1 grains with BIB 112 running 3250 FPS, shoots really good and had I gotten the opportunity to come this year that is what I would have been shooting.
This is where my rifle came alive with the 108 gr. Cline and VV-N120. Shot several zeros and ones with that load @ 100 yds.Jackie,
I can assure you that 3150 is a great node with a 108 grain bullet.
Jim and Bill, what powder?Jackie,

35.2 of H-4198 or 35.6 of N-130Jim and Bill, what powder?
My 30br shoots dots at 3050. I am guessing 3150 would be the high node but my case is pretty full now.
Thats why the powder change to vv120.Jim and Bill, what powder?

Not sure what the rifle weight limit is, in the tac driver. But I would add the weight.
VV-N120 but I was not at 34.0 gr. Would need to go back and see exactly where my charge was.Jim and Bill, what powder?

You should have used the .22 caliber. It would have made all the difference! I’m an expert at giving free advice, you’re welcome Dave!My rifle of choice this year was a Crossman 760 pump in 177 cal. open sights and a 8# trigger.
My performance proves I made the wrong choice this year.
Switching to that would have made little difference in my performance. I'm starting home tomorrow. The flashbacks are subsiding, but Target signs are triggering. I'll choose routes which avoid them. WHMy rifle of choice this year was a Crossman 760 pump in 177 cal. open sights and a 8# trigger.

Hey Jeff you know I was looking for all the velocity I could get.You should have used the .22 caliber. It would have made all the difference! I’m an expert at giving free advice, you’re welcome Dave!
Unfortunately I wasn’t at the IBS Nationals. I was at a stinking wedding in Maryland. Statistically speaking there’s a 57% chance it will end in divorce. There was a 100% I’d have a great time at a shooting competition. My wife didn’t see it that way…we all know who won the argument.Hey Jeff you know I was looking for all the velocity I could get.
You could have given me a little more advice at the Nats. I thought we were friends!![]()
Safe travels Bill.Switching to that would have made little difference in my performance. I'm starting home tomorrow. The flashbacks are subsiding, but Target signs are triggering. I'll choose routes which avoid them. WH
We usually stay south until we hit New Mexico. This time, the weather looks good enough that I'll be able to head right up to Sioux Falls with no concerns. Then west on I-90 and up through Great Falls MT. to Lethbridge. Easy driving, and I won't have to worry about winterizing the camper until Great Falls. Might be some snow at home, but that's as it should be. The prep for Tack Driver VII starts the day after I get home. I will not embarrass myself again! WHSafe travels Bill.
