Switching brands of Powder

I'm about to start using some AR comp in place of the unobtainum 8208xbr, so for you guys with more experience/knowledge than me would dropping 1 or 2 grains from my load to start be enough. 8208 is #90 on the burn chart and AR comp is #91.
This is for a wildcat (30x47) and my load right now is 42gr.. I never sent through a chrono because it shoots so well I don't want to screw with my mind thinking maybe I could do better.
Bolt gun, shooting 115 Bergers, SR BR Hunter class score.
I was going to call Alliant but not being a standard cartridge I figure I will not get an answer to my questions, liability problems more than likely.

As much as I like both of these powders, I'm not seeing anything useful in these loads. Both are under-pressured and neither of the positions on the 'Burn Rate' chart mean much. There could be 5 powders, all with the very same burn rate and someone would state that one is better than the other four because of the number.

With your combination you will need a faster powder for complete burn in the barrel and probable reasonable pressure, such as VVN120, IMR-4198 or Re-7. OR...

In my 30HBR (a 30x47 with a sharper shoulder) I use a BIB 136gr, 10ogive bullet in front of 42.8gr of Vit 135 powder. The Berger 135gr flat base bullet is a great second choice in my barrel.

Enjoy!

Kurz thanks for your reply, even though you don't like my load or powder choice(8208) it works for me out of my gun. Actually it was given to me by an old time record holder that shoots it and confirmed by another, both long time score shooters from Maine.
My question is about starting loads not what powder.
