Switch barrel tube gun

The T2K, aka Tubb 2000, is a switch barrel sorta rig. Most guys shooting these have several barrels, e.g. 6BR, .308, 6XC, and just unscrew one and screw on another.

The Eliseo rig has a recoil disc, which should be easily compatible with switching barrels. Contact the tube gun maker of your choice and ask. I bet they tell you "no problem".

The "search" function and Google are extremely helpful. Most questions have been asked/answered before. Check this on switch barrels (from this very website): http://forum.accurateshooter.com/index.php?topic=3137864.0

I talked to Gary Eliseo a week a two ago and he said it was no problem. Those are the three cartridges I plan on using. Have you had any problem with front sight alignment?

aha, now you're getting into the more subtle aspects. :)

I'm embarrassed to admit that I've not yet used irons on my T2K, nor my Eliseo rig. Just scopes, which further simplifies the barrel changing bit. However, in my match (iron sight) rigs, I have removed the front sights on occasion for transport, trying a 30mm sight vs. the 18mm or 22mm variants, etc. I've not had alignment issues -- that I've noticed -- and was always able to get back on target the first shot just by lining things up at the range. However, if you like a bit of cant on your front sight, then you probably have more of an issue. I bet you could get such answers from Mudcat if he still reads this forum, or from other match rifle highpower shooters. Jerry Tierney, and that lot. Or Gary Eliseo of course. He doesn't just fabricate excellent gear; he's also a heckuva shooter.

A simple witness or index mark on each barrel referencing when the barrel is torqued correctly against the recoil disc or lug would work. You could then easily return the barrel assembly including front sight to TDC repeatedly.

Just be sure to let your smith know that you want the barrels to be part of a switch barrel package. Otrherwise some smiths torque the barrels so tight against the lug that you will struggle as a mere mortal to remove them.

Been there, done that.

With the Elesio Tube guns all you need is a barrel vice and a rear entry wrench (Remington/Barnard). The Savage (S1) comes with a barrel nut wrench if you go that route. I can say enought good things about Gary's tube guns.
