Swift bullet: 130gr Scirocco BC.

An acquaintance of mine showed me a Swift Scirocco bullet and said it had a BC of .571 !

I told him that he was probably .100 points off or more on the negative side, he immediately became very upset and told me I didn't know what the h&$$ I was talking about. So that pretty much ended the conversation.
When I got home I went to the Swift web site and sure enough they listed the BC as .571 (they say)!
I simply can't believe this is right at all. The .264 caliber bullet length is 1.350" with a short boat tail, weight is 130gr, SD is .266.

Have any of you guys investigated this bullet?

We have a tested performance for the .264 Swift Scirocco of an average G1 BC of 0.491, and an Average G7 BC of 0.251. This is averaged from 3000-1500 FPS.

Thank you for your reply Doc, that sounds a little more realistic.

Would you happen to have any information concerning there accuracy?

This is one of many errors in the Swift Loading Manual.
After talking to Bill Holbert I found that load data (some if not all) was accumulated by a computer program instread to firing test loads.

I use to love Swift Scirocco bullets. Then I got some that would not shoot. Some how they were smaller in the rear bearing surface than in the front bearing surface.

I changed to Barnes Tipped Triple Shocks and have not looked back.
