SVSS Ed or Nightforce competition

Looking for a new scope For My Br Heavy gun. I know the Nightforce has more features like zero stop and is it not heavy like the Sightron . But a lot of people say they have poi issues . Any one used both that can give me there thoughts on each. Thank you.

Not a NF fan here for the reason you stated. I have the mentioned Sightron and love it. Bright, clear, crisp image and the fine focus is a big help. I see bullet 6mm holes at 500 yds even though it's only 50x. Repeatability has been perfect.

Thanks for the info !!

I have 3 NF Competition 2 for F Class and one for LR BR. No issues with any of them

This has been discussed before. Do a search on it.
There has been some problems with the NF tracking issues.
You might get a good one or not. There are very few that are bad.
The NF has really good glass. No one ever complains about that.
Not too many bad reports on the Sightron SVSS just a little heavy from the 34mm tube. It's cheaper..
You could put a March 10-60 in the mix for a couple bucks more.

If at all possible, YOU need to look thru them yourself.
Everyone has their own opinion and it will change person to person.
This is one area that only you can decide. We can help with some of the extras.
Look for a Benchrest or F class match in your area and go to it and ask after the match
if you can look thru them, most will say yes.
These 2 scopes are very popular and the Vortex GE

Right I totally understand that. Where I am it’s kinda hard to find them.

You use the Sightron right?? Are you happy with it.

The only issue is the weight, but you work around it. most non critical eye box next to the NSX and the comp is the worst. this all about free recoil and coming out of the gun to see flags.... if you are trying to run 10 shots and watch the flags and mirage with one eye you wold see a huge difference in sciopes. They are rock solid as is the March but for brightness the 60mm Sightron will eat the March for lunch...... jim

Thank you sir Really appreciate the Info!!

I use Sightron 10-50x60 on my mid range gun and the NF Comp on my Long range gun.
I think I prefer the Sightron a little bit better, but the Comp i dont dial up all that far anyway...so its a toss up.
They are both really good...so save a buck and get the Sightron or not.

Sightron has a zero stop on model 27012. Same as the 27008, but with zero stop. This new model is not listed yet
