Suppressor advise

Read in a Guns&Ammo Suppressor magazine that you should either low strength locktite or Teflon tape to keep
Suppressor from loosening up while shooting. I have read other places to use anti seize lube to keep suppressor from getting stuck on. Any ideas on this?

Correct fit between barrel and can is essential. Easier solution is a brake designed to be mounted tonbarelnand thread over can design like TBAC. I have both and have no issues with either loosening up. I stuck the can once with muzzle brake design. I have never used Teflon tape but on the 22 rimfire can I do use anti seize on threads. Dirty little 22 rimfire rounds.

I have a direct thread and use antisieze on the threads. I check it for tightness every 10 rounds or so. Sometimes it is loose sometimes it is not.

Ive yet to have either of my 2 suppressors come loose, sometimes Ill put a tad of builders grease on the threads other times its dry or lightly oiled. I do make sure they are tight as heck when I do stick em on.

If a suppressor can be screwed on over teflon tape the barrel needs to be rethreaded. Somebody botched the threading job the first time.

I've never used anything with my OPS Inc, Liberty, Silencerco, Gemtec or SWR. I check them after a few rounds for peace of mind.

Given multiple thread sizes, I went with HUB mount compatible and standardized on the Griffin taper muzzle devices. Everything wears a brake because everything is always shot suppressed although it doesn't have to be.

I use a dab of anti-seize. On taper devices, the learning curve was to learn to NOT test the can for tightness when hot. Since it's expanded it will tighten on a bit and then when it cools....never going to get it off without shooting it hot again.

If they are anything like a muzzle break you will know when they come loose. You won't be able to hit a barn.

Rockset was on my factory AR brake. Im guessing for a reason. Came right off in hot water. I sure wouldn't want to struggle to remove for cleaning though. Muzzle brake is annoying enough for cleaning.
