Suplies.... powder primer bullet and brass

Hey guys, can someone explain to me what is it all about the empty shelves everywhere. I'm running out of powder and had to pay overpriced bullets. The H4831sc is sold out everywhere and the bullets is harder and harder to get them. Is this a normal situation and will it change again or what happen that you can't get any supplies in time and sold out everywhere?

As long as many sportsman chose to dedicate their efforts and money to hoard supplies versus trying to get pro-gun candidates elected to the political system, you will see the empty shelves.

You should see the sad faces for .22 over the Christmas Holidays. In every area, three to five guys with credit cards can wipe a shelf out. People buy stuff and don't even know what it is for.

I think in cities it is even worse. Let's say you live in a city of 1,000,000. Even if there are only 1000 shooters in the whole 1,000,000 - if 100 of those 1000 are buying hard because they like to shoot 400 rounds a week, which means .....on a 40 day shooting estimate - 100 x 400 x 40 = 1,600, 000. That is a lot of rounds, but not many, for 100 shooters who like to shoot 400 rounds over a 40 day period.

Do the numbers on a nationwide basis, then figure in the hoarders and gun show investors who treat this as a penny stock market and there you have it. If you think it is bad now, wait until 2016.....

Big knee jerk reaction since the tragedy last Dec. getting better. Check online at Natchez Shooting Supplies, powder valley, cabelas, midway USA, Midsouth shooters supply, Graf and son, etc and you will find some components. Not easy though. Look hard and often. Seems demand exceeded supply for a good bit of this past year. I mounted my presses last year and waited 8 months to start buying components and reloading. Worst time ever to get into reloading. Won't get caught with my pants down again. Stocking up as of late. Guess I am contributing to the knee jerk reaction. Ha ha. Either way, got 40 lbs of powder, 16500 primers, and 14000 bullets. Still buying stuff when I can. In future will keep 1-2 years worth of components on hand. Some other crazy person will kill someone. When they do, I will mourn the victims. But I won't feel a need to rush out and buy anything. This last year was exceptionally bad as I understand it. Buying reloading components has been very difficult.

+1
The liberals are in charge, with the biggest liberal of all time is in the White House and this will continue until Obama is gone and longer if we don't get off our back sides and fight, fight fight.

Part of what makes reloading fun for me is trying different component combinations. You could try a different powder and a different bullet. Something you CAN find.

Certainly not picking on you Dan, but there is the thinking these days thanks to the best salesman of all time, one Barack Obama. (And the liberals say the Conservative use scare tactics..HUH) That guy and his liberal buddies have ruined a good clean fun sport for the majority of law abiding citizens, all because some deranged group of f...ing idiots commits senseless crimes, especially against innocent children. So rather than take care of the problem, O and other yoyos like Bloomberg, go after the masses who've done nothing wrong. In response, the masses say, "I won't be caught short again" and suddenly it's each man for themselves. Hence the shortage because the majority elect a liberal whose now screwing the middle class with his Healthcare Act. So keep your eyes open and buy when you can, before the next law abiding person beats you to the register. Ain't it great?

It kind of looked like it was easing up there for awhile and I was hoping that things would go back to normal but lately I've seen everything dry up again.

Yea that's right >>>>
but you may consider to start thinking "I would like to start competition long-range shooting."
And when you are close to find the balance in your setup but you can't go ahead because you are out of supplies...... that sucks
Anytime you make a big change in the components you start over again.....
And the next point is I have a 6.5x284 and that is one of theses ..... you can't find factory Ammo ether..... >:(

backorder.... backorder.....backorder .....
