Suggestion for a cheap stock needed

I have a 40XBR action and a M7 Rem light weight barrel in .223.

I was wondering if there is a cheap stock out there that would be a good fit for this combo so I can test the barrel.

A hogue stock is very good for the money. You can find them off ebay from pull offs of new rifles. The full bedding block stocks cost more and are solid but the pillar bedded ones will fit your need just fine

I have a Black plastic stock off a Remmy 700 I bought years ago. It's about as cheap a plastic stock you can get. Send a $30 donation(in your name or mine, I don't care) to this site and PM your address to me and it's yours. Josh.

And -- I'll attest to the accuracy of the Remy Tupper-ware types. I've got one that I slap on my 222 for when I'm out coyote calling. I soon found out that there is no loss of accuracy with it. I leave a pressure point at the forend to keep it centered on the barrel, and still no prob. jd

So what do you call some one that doesn't like plastic stocks?
