savage long action

I am wanting to build a 6mm rem on a stevens long action and was wondering what stocks will fit it. I want a tactical/hunting stock. Will any savage long action stock fit it.

The long actions all have the same 5" screw spacing but the magazine will differ from old to new.

More than likely a new Stevens will be a centerfeed (single stack mag box secured in stock) rather than a staggered feed that has the mag box attached to the action.

I think the B&C medalist and the Choates fit the new centerfeeds. There are other as well...just depends on how deep your pockets are.

No one is making an off the shelf stock for the newer center feed actions yet. You will have to modify a staggered feed stock or else go with a custom stock from Stockade, Sharp Shooter Supply, Joel Russo, Manners, McMillan, etc.
I sent a email to Choate and B&C and they have no plans at this time to produce them, but they both then said that it is the works? How is that for a straight answer
