ok, what is a "empty rifle indicator flag"? and where can i get one?i checked a few web sites,midway, etc) and no dice.

joefish: The only stupid question is the one that is not asked. Sinclair has several different types listed in their 2008A catalog, page 156, www.sinclairintl.com, 1-800-717-8211. "Empty chamber indicators" are required in most registered matches, by NRA & other rules. Merely a piece of plastic, usually yellow, that slides into the chamber, to assure their is no cartridge in the chamber-- it is truely empty. They are cheap at around $2.00 each. Also listed in Midway Master catalog #31, page 109. "Boonie Packer" Chamber Checker Safety Flag. $2.49. If competing in NRA Hi-Power & CMP Matches, make sure you get the type that fit into the chamber: that design became a requirement several yrs. ago.
