Stuck Cases

I was using my wife's computer and did not notice it was still logged in on my old user name, I did correct that error and my apologies for the confusion. Yes I tossed all the range brass in the scrap bucket and plan to purchase some new brass. Besides Lapua, what other brass would you consider using in a 18" .308 WIN 10T target/hunting rifle? I am looking to get the most reloads as well as consistency and accuracy out of this brass. Polished my Lee FL die and as always cleaned my brass real good but cases are still extremely hard to resize in the die. Next I will try a casting of the chamber and if that's the problem, what then? Can a Savage barrel be set back and re-chambered? It's a heavy contoured barrel originally 24" long cut off to 18" and threaded for a muzzle break and "can".

Just for grins, measure a fired case's body diameter at the shoulder and about .3 up from the head (at the point of greatest diameter in this area), and do the same on a FL sized case, then post the numbers.

Just for the giggles and grins, I measured a fired unsized case and a FL sized case:
Fired case: .456 @ shoulder & .471 @ .3 above the base
FL sized case: .450 @ shoulder & .467 @ .3 above the base

-Is there such a thing as a tight chamber reamer for a .308WIN?

I also just got the Lee delux 308 dies. I was using Hornady case lube and was having trouble. I had a tube of the Lee lube and tried it, like night and day. ran through 50 full re-size no problem.
Don't know why one would work and one not unless there is something wrong with the hornady stuff, but don't have trouble using it on other sizes.
