Stuck at trimming stage... need some advice

Here is a expander you might try. I use them on everything I load.

Good Luck

I'm with Catshooter on this. Lube the necks, and use your expander. I have a few carbide expander/decapper units that work well, although a bit pricey. I still lube the necks, but the carbide reduces the drag.

The Wilson trimmer is nice, and does not use a pilot. The basic trimmer is about the cheapest on the market, but gets expensive when you start adding the accessories. Its a quality tool.

If you are talking about neck turning, Boyd offers excellent advice. Buy the expander die, mandrel, and turning tool at the same time. Lightman

I ended up lubing the neck and running the expander through it - that fixed it.

Thank you all for your input.

Hi Poli,hi all

Poli,I'm glad you could find a cool issue to your problem...Boyd,as usual you were spot on,no surprise there...Poli,if you ever decide to go into neck turning, please, check PMA,their turners are top notch, you can also order an expander die and mandrel from them(the die is made by 21st century, stainless steel, mandrel by them);their turners are in my opinion better than those from 21st century(I have both..).Good luck and good shooting.
