Storage Ideas

I was wanting some of advice on gun storage. I want something that is able to be moved by me up and down steps if I have to move. The price of some modular safes that look like they could actually hold a few guns would be more than buying a safe and leaving it if I moved and just buying another traditional style safe. I like the secureit products but again the price seems high for only storing a few guns. A toolbox bottom chest may be a good idea for handgun storage but not rifles. So does anyone have any out of the box ideas?

If you are just looking for storage and not security, one of the gun cabinets is probably what would work.

I have seen those. I like the idea of a modular safe. The cheapest one from zannti is $1500 the says it hold 8 guns. Rifles with scopes take up 2-3 spots. Like I said above by the time I would buy a modular safe that would hold a few guns I could buy a traditional gun safe, leave it if I move and buy another at a new home. I should mention I already have a floor safe. I don't want another one that I cant move if I need to. They way my house is designed its easy to get a safe down the steps but very hard to get it back up. I have used a professional safe mover for the one i already have.

I see. I've had mine for 20 years. Don't recall what I paid for it back then. It holds over 20 rifles. Not sure what my spacing is but I can put scoped rifles side by side. They custom build. Good luck.

I have a couple of "Stack On" safes that hold 6 rifles each. These safes are cheap and highly portable but they offer nothing with regards to fire protection or a professional burglar but they will deter an amateur thief and secure the firearms from the grandkids.

Also keep the safes in a locked closet for a little extra security.
