Stolle Polar Rifle Action?

I'm considering an older bench rest rifle with a shortened Polar action and have no familiarity with it. My biggest question is are parts available and is it any extra trouble to rebarrel it (glue-in). Thanks much.

The best answers you can get will come from Kelblys. Give them a call on Monday. Some of the very best people in the industry.

Good advice that I’ll follow But I’d still like to hear from a person here that has some hands on experience. Thanks

I ran a Polar action on a railgun that had been shortened and it was a damn good action. Sold it for some stupid reason and kick myself for selling it.
I sent the bolt back and had new springs put in and an ejector. The Kelblys took great care of me.

A shortened polar becomes a teddy or a panda. No problem to work on it- you either use remington parts or kelbly parts according to what bolt is in it

The POLAR and Teddy have the exact same barrel tennon dimensions! The Panda has a much shorter tennon length! If you have the old barrel, that will help a gunsmith get dimensions, plus take his own dim. from the action to chamber you a barrel. Take it to a very competent benchrest gunsmith. Kelbys may chamber you one also. They know all about them. Great actions!! Samuel Hall
