Looking for action bedding advise

I have a second hand F-open rifle. Bordon action and X-Ring stock. The bedding job is sub standard to say the least. My question is, should I send to a gunsmith to drill out the pillars, mill out the bedding material and redo? Or should I mill out some bedding material and glue the action the stock? Any advise is appreciated.

You cant go wrong gluing it in. They all need glued in my opinion. No need for an end user to ever remove an action that has a trigger hanger. Make sure you make enough clearance in there to remove it thru the trigger guard

Without knowing just how the existing bedding is sub-standard, it is impossible to say what should be done. WH

Bedding can look pretty herky and still give good accuracy. The dial indicator test is a good place to start to determine if the bedding needs to be refreshed. -Al
