There's no rest for the wicked......I'm tired
My situation was a little different than yours. I sent a couple coyote hides out of state to be tanned and it never happened. Took a long time to actually find the guy again and when I did, still nothing. Finally I left him a voice mail that said I considered what he did to be fraud and planned on contacting both the postal service ( because I mailed them) and the local sherriff's dept if I didn't hear back.
Guess what. I had a voice mail later that day saying he would get them out to me right away and I had a couple untanned hides the next week. Now, it just so happens that they weren't the hides that I had sent him but I was tired of fighting it.
How do I know they weren't mine? Well, one came with feet attached when I didn't send any feet LOL and the other had a hole in the hide in entirely the wrong place.
Now I'll stick to commercial facilities or someone local that I know. Lesson learned on trying to save a buck.
In summary, all it may take is the threat of legal action to remedy your situation. Good luck.
