stocks with full length alluminium bedding blocks...

I have several rifles that are stress free pillar bedded, I am looking at buying a rem 700 long action (.30-06) sitting in a Bell and Carlson #2956 " Remington light Tactical stock as a donor to build a nice 6.5X55.

I have no experience with full length alloy bedding blocks but seem to remember reading somewhere that it was a bad idea....
Can someone enlighten me as to the pro's and con's of these

and also pass comment on the quality ergonomics of the B&C light tactical stock?

Well after a bit of head scratching and homework I realized that this can't have a light tactical stock as it only available for short actions rems. In stead it is a stainless long action .30-06 mounted in a B&C long action XCR tactical stock.

I understand that high dollar alloy chassis stocks like the accuracy internationals are great how do the cheapies like this xcr stock stack up?

No matter who made em they will need skim bedded for the best results.....
One size will not fit all actions............
