stock for savage 10t

i recently picked up a savage modle 10T at cabelas, i read quite a few reviews and watched some videos of people shooting the gun and it seems to perform very well for a rifle in a 500$ price range. it has the accustock, and the accutrigger, also the bottom bolt realease. im wanting to put an after market stock on it, i really like the bell&carlson m40 stocks, but ive never put another stock on a gun will the m40 stocks even fit this rifle? i also like choate stocks but ive heard there not any better than the accustock. i would appreciate the help. thank you

Yes they are a better option than the accustock for sure. A buddy just replaced his with the Choate tactical stock. It needed a little inletting for the bottom metal to fit but simple work. Very nice fit and it's a solid stock. I own two of them one each on a savage long action and REM short action. Both very good fit and accurate results with the guns.

I have a model 11vt short action in a b and c m40. Mine is a varmint weight barrel plastic magazine surround, bottom bolt release. I beleive your rifle would take the same stock. Mine did not come with an accustock, the recoil lug on the accustock models are slightly different but they are close enough the inletting is probably the same and the difference would be made up in the bedding.
Google red hawk rifles in CO they had the best prices i could find when i got mine, and they have many variations in stock with fast and reasonable shipping.

The only thing I believe makes a difference is where the bolt release is located. I do not believe a top bolt release will work on the B&C M40 or Choate Tactical stocks.

I called savage and they sold me the aftermarket drop in BR stock for my mod 12 LRPV. They asked if it was a top bolt release or not. Dropped it in and went shooting with it. Very nice. Not sure if your 10T would work this way or not, but you call them and ask. Closed until 1-3-17.

What was the price on the BR stock ?
