Stock comb too high?

I have a red, white and blue McMillan MBR stock, that the stock comb is just a little too high to remove the bolt. What do I use to sand the comb down a little bit.

I was thinking of wet sanding the fiberglass...

Any suggestions...

Unless it's only a few thousands you will sand until your older than me....
I would mill out the cut and do the repairs needed with Accuglas...
It seems strange that the bolt don't clear, maybe the inletting was to low ?
