Stiller/ Shilen Actions

I am planning my next rifle and am really attracted to the Shilen actions that I believe are made by Stiller. I like the flexibility of the Savage-type design, and have NO DOUBTS about the accuracy potential, especially with a more careful manufacture. BUT the SAvages do have an achilles heel---Extraction, or perhaps ejection depending. I have a rifle built around a Savage 111 with a HArt barrel that is great,,,EXCEPT when it drops a case in the action from time to time. I just figured I'd post and see what people had to say.

Does anyone know if the Shilen actions are more reliable?

I have wondered many times if the Savages work better with longer cartridges. What do you guys think?

Thanks

Sir - not familiar with Shilen but if Jerry Stiller makes them then huge +1. Have one of his actions in a 6mmBR/308 switch barrel it is an absolute tack driver (thanks to Stiller and of course: Hart, Krieger and Pitts Precision Rifles [Taft, TN])

I think you would also like the stiller actions Both for quality and service.
Jerry stands behind his products. and he prices are reasonable.
