Stiller Actions

Looking at a Stiller Diamondback drop port action for the basis of a long range varminter in 6BR or Dasher. What is the concensus of opinion regarding Stillers work? I really like the drop port feature. Does this unnecessarily weaken the action? Does the drop port limit your bedding area?

I have one of Stillers new TAC300 actions. Workmanship is terrific. Kiff makes the bolts, so there's no problem there. I'd buy another Stiller action in a NY minute.

And I will, as soon as my finances allow it!

Here's a Stainless Diamondback with Drop-Port.

The port is circled in red.

This is on Shelly Davidson's Tinkertoy gun. Note that, in Shelley's gun, the action is a load-carrying unit and it is plenty strong.

You won't be disappointed...I run Stiller's Viper and D-back on my 1K light guns. My D-back will have a drop port added when I rebarrel,of course this will also require a new bolt)

I have a Diamondback drop port on my unlimited rifle, a Predator in 300 SAUM hunting rifle, and another Predator is forthcoming. They are very good to deal with.
