Stiff brushes...

I am looking for some stiff nylon cleaning brushes. Can someone tell me which ones are real stiff for some stubborn cleaning in my 6.5-284? Thanks, BK

www.iosso.com These may be the best out there for nylon style brushes. But I have gone back to bronze brushes, the nylons just don't clean like the bronze brushes IMO.

I agree. I have turned my nylon brushes into case mouth cleaners instead of barrel cleaners. A bronze brush, a generous amount of Butches, some elbow grease, and some nice clean cotton patches, and my barrels are squeeky clean.

I dumped the nylon brushes as well because they simply didn't seem the clean. I've heard people say that the bronze brushes will scratch your bore, and I did once see something in my bore that I couldn't rub out with a q-tip, so I figured it could be a scratch from the brush. But this 'scratch' was barely visible under high magnification and was gone the next time I'd shot and cleaned the rifle.

These are very stiff: http://www.deweyrods.com/cgi-bin/ccp5/cp-app.cgi?usr=DEWEY1065&pg=prod&ref=NHN&cat=BRUSH_MOP&catstr=HOME:BRUSH_MOP .

They're all I use.

Three to five, tight fitting patches of JB Bore Cleaning Compound, will get the "Stubborn" out.
