10-4 dropped the load to 36.5, stinks that this is the max with this combo only around 3650fps. any thoughts on a reliable chronograph?

Your getting ejector marks on the hardest commercial grade of brass you can buy, meaning beyond the elastic limits of the brass and high pressure.

Lake City 5.56 brass is harder than commercial cases and with the same load in a softer .223 case it will leave ejector marks.

Below is just as ball park as reading primers, but measuring just above the extractor groove will let you know the elastic limits of the brass you are using.
