Starting point

After developing a great load with n 140 for the 155 berger hybrids , from other forum members ,( thanks all ) I now can get my hands on some varget , can anyone give me a starting point using varget for the berger 185 ,s juggernaut, otm tac , code no 30107 , lapua brass , federal match primers. Barrel is Bartlein 32 inch 1 in 12 , thanks again

.308 Winchester .... I would probably start with about 41.0 grains of Varget and work up about .4 grains at a time. Using three round sets you'll only need about two dozen rounds to find the sweet spot.

I have another question for the experienced reloaders/shooters here , as said i have a great load with the 155,s , is it worth my while (as my wind reading skills need to be worked on anyway) to go to the 185,s?, or am i as well off to stick with what i have and develop my wind reading skills , how much advantage will the 185,s give me @ 1000 yards left/right? thanks again.
