Starting Load Data for 6.5x57 Mauser

Hi all,
I'm wondering if any of you have any starting load data for the 6.5x57? I inherited this rifle from my grandpa but did not acquire any of the load data and of course none of my manuals have this cartridge listed. Thanks for the help.

any suggestions? I do have a lot of RL19 and RL22 kicking around but i'm wide open for suggestions. I would like to stay with a 120gn bullet. I think he was using 120gn speer bt.
thanks

Depends on who cut the chamber and what your dies are.
In theory they are the same but there may be some minor dimensional differences.

The current Hornady loading manual has data listed for the 6.5x57 mauser. Also the 6.5x55 data is a good starting point. I shoot both of these calibers.

The cases are different between the6.5x57 mauser and the 6.5-257 Roberts. The 257 roberts version will have too much headspace. I use 257 Roberts +P cases for my 7x57 gun.The neck up andfire fine. Using the 257 or 7mm mauser cases woun't work unless you go through fireforming procedures. I went and used RWS 6.5x57mm cases instead.
