Start loads for tight chamber

I don`t think it too safe to start guessing my srart loads for my new bbl, it is a Keiger 1:8t 28" with a TIGHT chamber in 6br. I sarted my fist loads with 30gr varget, 87v-max, 450pr, and lp. brass and it`s seems to be a bit warm,shoots awsome, sub .25 first group shot after break in!!!)Trouble is the load for my last bbl was 31.5gr varget, the rest same, and I had no presure signs at all.

Where should I start my 105a-max & 87vmax loads???I think it might be a good time to get Quickload, how do I get it? Can anybody give me any figures for starting loads. I plan to use varget,RL15,&H4895. The case cap. is 39.4grs h2o.

Hmmm, 30.0 gr Varget with an 87 V-Max isn't that stout of a load. Could be what you're reading as pressure is the result of headspace "bounce" on fire-forming.

The other thought is that you have a super-short throat which is pushing the bullet way down in the case.

Could you measure the loaded cartridge Overall Length from bottom of rim to tip of bullet.

Also, please check your H20 capacity again. 39.4 sounds much too high. I would expect something like 38.2 for a fired case and 38.0 for a fired, sized case. If you can remeasure, make sure the line of water is flat on top of the case mouth.
