Guys
I see lots of info regarding the heavy match bullets for the 6mmDasher and 6mmBR Improveds, but who running the lighter projectiles out of them.
Post your loads if you will.
With my latest Dasher,Lawton 7500, Shehane ST-BT, 26" barrel) with a freebore of 0.114" I can load from the 107 all the way to the 65Vmax.
I have tried four projectiles in this rifle, which is no turn 1:8 twist. In this particular rifle, it can not handle the load of my other. So the loads are lighter than what I would have expected.
I have shot
107MK's with 32.4 grains of Varget
105Amax with 32.1 grains of Varget
87Vmax with 34.4 grains of Varget
and
as of today, I did a ladder test with the 65Vmax. Started at 35.5 grains and worked in 0.2 lots up to 36.7 of Varget. Presure was very good, and could have got a little more in I feel. AT 200m, all shots were within 0.75"
SO, a 1:8 is pretty versatile, and shoots from 65Vmax to 107's no problem.
I could assume my loads are light compared what others are running, but it seems I hit pressure with lighter loads than others.
Of course, start lower than my data for safety reasons.
Cheers
