Starline brass in rifles

Has anyone used starline brass in a rifle? How is the quality? I have heard good things about their pistol brass, I was thinking for hunting rounds they may be a good quality alternative at a lower cost than lapua.

I use the 223 brass for 600yd loads in a service rifle , 80 SMK w/ 23.3gn H4895. Great accuracy and case life.
Used 308 LG primer at 1,000yd this season, 46.5gn Varget w/ 155.5 Berger for 3,020fps 32" barrel.
Both cases have a little less volume than normal commercial US brass so powder charges had to be worked up.

I’ve used it in bottle neck cartridges, I also use it many of my pistols and 45-70, it’s great brass Imo.

I am wanting to, I've used it in all my handguns, from 327 Federal to 460 S&W in my encore, 45 colt and 45 acp as well as several others. I call it the Lapua of handgun brass! I look foreword to getting my hands on some 222 Remington when I can.

The are taking back orders for 222 right now .34-.40 cents depending on the quantity you buy. If you want to split 1000 send me a PM, 500 each at .34 cents per piece. Back orders usually ship with 2-5 weeks in my experience.

Sorry this is for a Panda Bench gun thats about finished, so 100 cases should be a lifetime supply for a comp bench gun. I only plan on using this in local matches instead of my Scott built Bat for registered matches. I plan on comparing it to Lapua cases before any big quantities. If a hundred helps let me know.

No worries, sounds like a neat rifle!

I recently used some Starline 6.5 Grendel brass in CZ-527 and am very pleased with it. I have used their pistol brass in the past and purchased the Starline brass as Lapua 6.5 Grendel brass is currently unavailable. Given the consistency of the Starline 6.5 Grendel brass I doubt I purchase any more Lapua 6.5 Grendel brass.

I use the 5.56 starline brass for PRS matches when I shoot 223. Accuracy is better than I can shoot the rifle. You loose about 5% in rocks and grass every match. At 1/2 the price of Lapua, it is about the only exception to my “if Lapua does not make brass for it, it does not need to be shot” rule.

I use their 6.8 spc brass. Seems good. But i havent like weighed all them or anything. Gun is a typical AR build using an AR Performance 6.8 barrel and it is sub moa so i cant complain

6. years ago I bought 400 rounds of 6.5 CM, small primer brass. After 1 year, I build a 6mm Creed, took 150 rounds and resized them down to 6mm.

Over the past 6 years I have reloaded each case way over 40 times. Still have a full bag of 100 under my bench.

I have had maybe a 2% failure rate due to either split neck or enlarged primer pocket.

Last year I annealed all the cases as I was starting to see split necks due to brass getting brittle.

I only wish I could find some more 6.5, Small primers brass on the shelves.

Very good quality brass, much better than Federal brass.
