i have a bushnell 4200 6-24x40SR mildot reticle and 1" tube...these scopes from what i've read don't have as much elevation adjustment as other long range scopes...i think 40MOA.
my question is if i get a 20MOA base then will i be able to zero this particular scope at 200yrds? problem i'm trying to solve with out buying either base first...is after i zero i don't know how much elevation i'll have left and am trying to avoid having to buying both. base i'm planning on buying is EGW and i already have a set of low burris xtreme rings. does anyone have a simular setup they can help shed some light on the subject?
estimated drop to 1000yrds(i've only shot to 400 so far, but bullet drop to their is accurate w/ current load and # listed below)
100+1.1"
200-0
300-5.5"
400-16.2"
500-33"
600-59.6"
700-89.5"
800-132.2"
900-187.5"
1000-257.8"
if my elevation drum is maxed out on low at 200 then i'm thinking i can dial out to atleast 800 without a 20moa base, but like i said i jst don't know if i'll have that much elevation after zero. and with the 20 moa base i don't know if if i can zero at 200.
