Staball Match in the 6BR

I’m surprised that 1.3 grains of additional powder only yielded a 40 fps increase in speed. I would have expected half that much powder to get you there.

I tested StaBALL Match in 223/77 and 308/175 last year as an alternative to H. VarGet (which is no longer available in the UK/Europe).

MV per grain powder increases were both modest and very consistent in the two cartridges, but in relative terms far higher than experienced here.

(Note too the comparison with Viht N150 in the 308 results, N150 being almost the default powder in the UK for 6BR with 105-107gn bullets.)

Finally got a around to completing a 6BR ladder test with Staball Match and 95gr SMKs (again Sporting Clays got in the way). I have more confidence in these numbers compared to my prior data set as I threw each load short and trickled up to the desired load. Furthermore, the velocity increase vs charge weight passes the common sense test. Perhaps I had a calibration offset error on my scale last time, regardless, here's the data. My rifle's sweet spot is between 29.5g and 30.0gr. I will continue to experiment.
