st-1000 Rear Bag ?

I just purchased a fiberglass st-1000 and need to order a rear bag to accommodate the wider stock. I see several options but would love to know what you guys use and recommend. I know Edgewood is expensive but I really like their products. What should I order?

i would also be curious what the bag dimensions are. knowling the flat is 3/4". how tall are the ears?

Thank you
Trevor

Best is a edgewood gator, 3/4" spacing 1.5" ears. This rifle has the same shape in the rear as the st-1000, I'd say it tracks.

Sorry Alex,
Can't agree with that. Must be a matter of personal preference. I have both bags and the Edgewood Gator is 13 1/2" long (base) and the stock ride distance between the ears is 3" whereas the Protektor Dr bag is 8" long (base) and the stock ride distance between the ears is 5" giving me a more consistent stock ride than the Edgewood does. I've also found the Protektor allows me to use it more with varying stocks of my BR rifles as well as my custom Target AR with the PRS stock.

Call Protektor and ask to order a Shehane bag. You can customize it to your preference such as ear material, height, length, placement, etc. Nice thing about the Shehane bag is the minimal footprint and the rear is tapered for shoulder/arm clearance. The problem I have with the DR bag is, it's way too big and awkward for me to reach around it the way I sit. I know this is not an issue with everyone, but something to keep in mind. You have to make the bag how it's comfortable for you. After you go through a half dozen bags, you may get one you like, lol.

+1. Best way to go to save $$.
