Squirrel hunting casualty.

Nice young male coyote came sneaking around the gray squirrels spotted him way before me, I gave him a 22 Winchester subsonic max 42 hollow point in the neck look close right side, drt, this happens every squirrel season. Remember if you shoot a coyote in the neck, your target is at most usually only 2.5 to 3 inches wide , the rest is fur.He got hit right side at an angle where the dark crease at 3 o'clock is .

I hunted squirrels quite a bit when I was in HS (back in the early 90s). Only had one yote during that time. I had switched to my dad's 22 mag because head shots would launch the squirrel off the limb just a little bit, which helped keep them from getting hung up in a fork. While walking through some CRP on the way to the woods, a female popped out. She didn't notice me until she was about 20 yds away looking right at me. One round to the neck dropped her.

Doing it during turkey season is more fun though. That coyote always think's he's about to pull one over on a hen right up to the point that 2 oz of heavi shot arrives.
