Springback after neck sizing

I am new to precision reloading and still trying to figure a lot of things out. :(

I am shooting a 6mmBR with a .271 no-turn neck, using Lapua brass, and 107gr SMK bullets. I neck resize with Wilson neck die and also use a Wilson seating die. When using the .267 bushing some of the bullets were loose (I was able to easily slide them up and down in the neck) after seating, so I switched to a .266 bushing. My loaded round neck size is .270 (or slightly less.... .2695) and my fired case neck size is .271.

My question is: Doesn't this seem like a lot of "springback" for the brass after neck sizing? It is relatively new (fired maybe once or twice).

It seems to me that your loaded round size is a bit big for a .271 no turn. I like 3 thousandths clearance on a loaded round. What does your loaded round measure with the smaller bushing? Matt

You say the bullets were loose, but you don't say what the diameter of the neck was after you used the .267 bushing. Was it .267? Have you used that bushing before?

The neck wall thickness is not all the same. Neck turn or just use the .266" bushing. If using a redding type s die , the expander could be used.
