Spent some cash bought a FX120I scale!

Tired of messing around with the "not so cheap" electronic scales that never seem to hold zero and spent my scope money on a top-o-the-line scale! Man that thing cant get here fast enough!!

Hope you have success with it. Got mine about 2 years ago and am happy with mine. Short time later I bought an electronic powder trickler and that made my life a lot easier. This is my first experience with a high quality electronic scale so I have nothing to compare it to, other than the sub $100 electronic scales and their assorted problems. I have a untuned Ohaus 1010 scale which I also use regularly, but the accuracy of my FX120 is at a whole new level of precision. Bought mine out of Canada a they were kind enough to set it up to read in grains. Never had to recalibrate mine during a session. Satisfied user.

Don't get upset if it doesn't work the way you want at first. Environmental conditions can have a major effect on it as it can on any electronic scale. Dry air and static electric, CFL lights, cell phones, vibrations, and temperature swings. The problem I had was the household electric. Drove me nuts for a while but I stuck with it and solved the issues. I had to go with a line conditioner, but after that, it's rock steady. Also be sure you level it 100% before using it. If you move the scale, re-level it again.

I have a Sartorius, I run the power off of a Cyberpower UPS unit to ensure no line noise. I don't use Florescent in the room either. They put out a lot of distortion. I also have an Anti Static pad under my scale. It is from a lab and is not only grounded but also has a monitor to tell me if it build up any static. Of course you don't need the monitor but having a gounded pad under the scale is a good idea.
