Spencer VA Hog Rifle

Sorry to be the one to tell you. Clay retired about two years ago .No longer building guns. The shop is shut down

Thanks, though I knew that, I was trying to get in touch with who wrote the article, I seem to remember it being in an issue of Precision Shooting, I've started going through my old stacks but haven't found it yet.

Richard Franklin, also from Virginia, was building some mighty accurate “Hog Rifles”. Richard retired I believe a few years ago.

That article has to be 15yrs old! Original nesikas, spencer and euber bullets, spencer barrels too. All those names sure brought back some memories. Still have a 1.450 spencer barrel for my railgun. It shoots very well

I wrote that story, with some draft content provided by Clay Spencer.

Can’t really give you details. Notes are on hard drives on kaput Computers.

And I have released over 10,500 stories since the site started in 2004. Probably 8500+ originals and the others being re-release or updates.

and I am proud to say...I used to shoot with and against those boys, . Clay Spencer as well. What a great and knowledgeable bunch. Like "George Jones" sings...."who's gonna fill their shoes ? "
