Listing this rifle for a friend. This is a Clay Spencer built Sleeved Rem 700 SA in 6BR Lapua No Turn Neck with a Hart 27" 1-12 twist fluted HV SS barrel. McMillan stock, Jewell BR trigger-no safety or bolt release but rifle does have a Spencer custom bolt release on side of the action/sleeve. The Rem action was a new action and was trued by Spencer as well as the bolt being worked over and a sako extractor installed. The stock was pillard and bedded by Spencer as well. Jewell trigger is set at 2oz., has Davidson bases and Kelbly's 4 screw 30mm rings. Also included is a full length Davidson base with 40MOA. Barrel has had 808 documented rounds thru it and is still in excellent condition. Stock has been painted and does have some minor "blushing type" wear on the bottom from riding in the bags. This was built as a switch barrel and weighs 17.4#'s as it is pictured.

Price is $2150 now $2050 shipped and insured in the Cont. US. Check or Money order only. First "I'll take it" followed up with a PM gets it.

Please feel free to ask any questions and if needed I can put you in touch with the owner.

Thanks,
Gene

What is the reason for the sleeved action? I have never seen one before
Sleeved actions add rigidity to an action especially when you use longer and heavier contour barrels. The action is glued/epoxied into an aluminum sleeve that gives you a longer and wider footprint to bed into the stock. This was popular at one time a few years back but you seldom see this done much today.

Thanks,
Gene

BUMP. Added borescope pics of the barrel and there is some 1x and 2x fired brass available to the buyer at an additional cost...approx 350 pieces.

This would make an awesome UBR gun.
It sure would.
This was used for long range prairie dog hunting...he had a 260AI barrel and a 6.5x284 barrel that was fit to this rifle as well and had numerous confirmed kills at 1000 - 1200yds. He got rid of those barrels and had the 6BR barrel done for some closer range work 300-600yds.

Thanks,
Gene
