Spell Check

DocEd said:
So how come they say, "Loopold" on their TV commercials?

rvn 1968 is right. Not only do the employees in Oregon call say it that way, but even their recorded messages that play while you are on hold call it "Lee-uh-pold".

Perhaps the commercials you are referring to are outdoor channel hosts narrating Leupold advertisements and improperly pronouncing the name?

This is Accurate shooter.com not Accurate speller.com or Accurate pronouncer.com. I would much prefer some thing that will help me hit the target closer to the middle at farther distances.

Some years ago in the American rifleman they had a pronunciation dictionary and it was lou pold. It is spelled leu(lou) pold not leo pold like you claim they say it.I talked to a tech there on several occasions and asked him that question and he said lou pold. They say leo pold because the shooting community is used to that pronunciation.

Itza gun forum for crying out loud!!!! Small groups are more important than proper schpellin!!! If I right click in the box where I type the message my PC has a schpell checker.
