speeds for a 7SAUM

Good:
  1. Can anyone tell me attainable speeds for a 7SAUM in barrel of 28 "It seems that I do not pass 890 ms (2900 fps).
Thank you. Use double base RS70

4831SC and H1000 are very good powders for 7SAUM. I think you could get close to 3000fps with a 180gr or 3050+ with a 162gr.

30" Bartlien 8 twist, 2.94 oal (mag fed) 183gr SMK. Found a good load at ~2925 with 62.5gr H1000, can go faster but ran out of case capacity. Seat it long and 3K should be doable. I don't think 4831 will get you there, I had it pressure out around 2900.

Thanks friends...
I am using a European gun RS70. Since the Vhita supply of 165 in Spain, it was sold out for the time being. Do you know the RS70, Swiss?

"Most" U.S. Shooters & Reloaders are not aware of the RS Swiss line of powders as they are not available here in America.
I Wish I could get my hands on some RS80 to try in the 375 CheyTac Imp.

What length is your barrel? Using RS70 powder I was able to get up to 3100 with 180gn bullets in a 31” barrel.
I usually only ran at 2950 FPS with regular powders though.

In principle I have a node in 2885/2890. And at 2980, it seems that another one that will be next to the 3000 starts ... but the bolt gets harder to open. The tests are made with 30º Celsius. And the tube is a polygon of Sabatti, of only 28 inches. The thrust of a 30 "or 32" would surely take me to the node of the 3000 without the hardness of the bolt.
I'm going to stay in the 2890, the standard 7SAUM pods are expensive in Europe. And I want you to put up with at least five uses.
I would like to try the Vhita 165, but until after the summer I do not think there is any stock in Spain.

Thanks friends.

In 26" my nodes are at 2930 and 2990 with 180 vlds and H1000. RL26 will go 3100+

RL26 is awesome for gaining speed without creating excessive pressures or worrying about being limited by case capacity.

Haven't used it in a 7mm SAUM, but it works wonders for speed in other rounds that like the slower burn rates.

Nitrochemie's Reload Swiss RS80 and Alliant Re33 are one and the same thing, Nitrochemie's works product code EI-N170 EA.

Alliant Re26 also comes from Nitrochemie and is an 'EI' advanced infused deterrents / 'high-energy' grade as per Re17/RS60 and Re33/RS80, but has no Reload Swiss equivalent. It is faster burning than Re33/RS80, but slower burning than RS70 (which has no Re equivalent, AFAICS).

Wherever they come from or whatever they are, the Alliant powders work very well for finding high velocities ;)
