which powder

So Im getting ready to start making up some loads for my 7mm rem mag. I used to (1980's) use IMR 7828 with 160 grn nosler partitions. I usually load to 3150 fps and measure the case heads for pressure. Does the 7828 SSC burn the same as 7828? Can I expect the two powders to have identicle personalities or no? I never used the SSC before. I know i can fall back on H1000, but the 7828 is just awesome or was awesome when it was just 7828. I should explain myself a little better. I see other threads on the forums about this topic, but I guess what I want to know is if the speeds are still attainable being its a different cut now. Has anyone noticed any case head seperation with same speeds? I measure for it, but wa just trying to find out the nitty gritty and what to look for.

I load 7828 in a 280AI. I have not used the original but I have SC and SSC on hand. I loaded equal charges by weight and got nearly identical velocity (within the SD). It supposedly meters better but I haven't attempted to measure that, I still weigh light and trickel.

I've loaded 7828, in 7 mm Rem Mag and .270 WSM ( Works great, in Both ).
I saw NO difference in Velocities, between SSC and the Old 7828, either,..
SO, I just Blended the last 2 Lbs of each type, together and,.. stirred well.
Shoot's Sub, 3/4 MOA from my .270 WSM with 140 gr. Cl. Hunt, Berger's and My last Elk, didn't complain much !
Nothing to worry about, except Powder IS,.. all sorts of ugly, Shapes and Sizes.
Dupont ( IMR ) said,.. NO difference, in "Burn" or, pressures,.. IIRC

ok, thank you. LOL, now if I can just find some primers online for sale. And what is up with these online stores selling reloading components, but dont take a visa or mastercard.they want zelle or zoicoin or some other stuff. I found the phone number to one company and the guy was like how did you get this number? I was like, hay, I just want to pay for the powder. This new younger generation is strange. Nobody like cash anymore.

If they don't take Visa - they are likely a scam. 7828 and H1000 rule 7mm mag loading.

If an online vendor insists on payment via Zelle, Bitcoin, etc., just walk away. It really IS that simple.

The availability of reloading components is better now than it was a couple years ago, but it still may take some time and effort to find them. I would suggest starting with ammoseek.com and/or shootingbot.com. Alternatively, one can search directly at online vendors, preferably first thing in the AM. When looking for component(s), I routinely search vendors that include Powder Valley, MidSouth Shooters Supply, Graf's, Target Sports USA, Blue Collar Reloading, Bruno's, etc. With diligence, it is usually possible to find what you need.

Most of the online retailers will allow you to get alerts when components come in stock. I've gotten lucky a couple times with Midway and Powder Valley.
I would never buy anything online from someone that wouldn't take a credit card.

Shooting bot.com -is another good one.
You can set alerts and receive emails and texts when components you’re looking for are in stock .
And they are very good about sending out your alerts When components are available you’re looking for.

This.

Same results. 7828SCC is what I settled on for my x-bolt speed in 280ai
