South Bend Electrical Problem

Swap fuses or whatever for reverse? Any competent machinist will know that's silliness, lol.

Not ideal. But functional. I have 2 and a half other lathes that do reverse with no effort. I needed something quickly. I used what I had under the bench. Job got done.

The wires to the motor and screwed into the downstream side of the fuses.
Swap two wires of a three phase= reverse.

I knew what he meant. When I was in the Navy, we had a 48 inch gate valve for the main condenser. It could be emergency closed in 30 seconds by motor in case of flooding, but only opened by handwheel which took 20 minutes. If no officer was around, we'd open the controller panel and swap two phases, then hit the big "CLOSE" button and it would open right up.
