something really strange primers sticking on pin

I have been loading 40sw and had intermittent primer not dropping when sized, in fact still seated after the de-capping pin had gone well below the case,

called RCBS and learned they had seen the same with CCI primers griping the de capping pin and being pulled back up into the case, some times completely. it seems the anvil shape is the culprit.

the answer the gave me was grind the end of the pin FLAT - get rid of any roundness and the anvil can not catch on it.

FWIW I did and it worked.
