Sold my 6.5 Creedmoor

I just picked up a 22 hornet and it’s fun to shoot. Only uses 13 gr of powder and the 40 gr Vmax bullets are also inexpensive compared to others.
I just use 10 gr of 2400 in my hornet w/34 gr dogtown bullet. It is a light load but shoots good at least out to 100 yards, that is all I ask of it. It (CZ) has accounted for a whole lot of starlings. My backyard to the corner is about 96 yards from my backporch. I recently shot w/ a buddy that had a 17HMR and I sot a LOT better than he did. The caliber is fine but (in my opinion) the ammo sucks. He was using hornady.

I'm another one who is going to suggest 223. Tikka is a good choice or buy a nice action that accepts prefit barrels. Whatever you get, try to find something with a small firing pin.

52 grain match bullets are inexpensive and make life interesting when shooting at 300, or load 75 or 80 grain bullets and shoot further. Either way, they are fun and economical to shoot.

Are the factory tikka stocks ok or do they need replacing

A week or so ago, I saw an old Tikka 595 on Gunbroker. I think they’re the best Tikkas because they’re a flat bottomed action, like a Panda. I pay a little more for those. Try to find one with a wooden stock. I don’t like the plastic ones. They’re OK but I prefer wood.
