So who numbers their ammo?

Don't knock over your box
I tried that. Only time it worked is when I got to the range, unpacked, set-up, stapled targets, and the box was safe on the reloading bench the whole time...

Sometimes I prove to myself that i only shoot to support my reloading hobby.

I absolutely mark my load workups; same reasoning, one time the box tipped and who knows what was what after that...

Just started engraving cases with numbers. This way I think I can track the velocities of each case by writing the case number next to each velocity so I can group the cases together.
Then the similar velocity cases will live together in one ammo box.
I don't know how well this will work, but I m trying it.

^^^^^THIS^^^ I used to buy a big lot of brass, prep them all, and then weight them. I cull out the very lightest and heaviest for sighters and fowlers. I shot them in order.

Then I won nationals.

Then I got lazy and didn't win anything.

I used to write on the case with a sharpie.
Charge weight, projectile type, BTOG( seat depth) et al

Now I use this print out and stick it in my cartridge lid, I label my cases as A B C D or 1, 2 , 3 ,4 whatever you fancy, and do a refernce when I get home. It stops favouritsm for a load and any pre concieved notions.

When doing ladders for load development. Too many times I grab a round and put it in the wrong spot and mess up the order.

I only mark my cartridges on the sides when I’m testing a new load or bullet. I load round and it goes into a MTM box with the load data inside. Only that load is in that box so who cares if I tip it over.
