So my wife wants my 308

My wife recently got bit by the rifle bug. She loves shooting my 308. She wants to go with me every day. I don't mind I love the company.

However, she wants my Savage Arms 10/110 Precision

She said if I give it to her she will buy me a Savage Arms Arms 110 Elite chambered in 6mm Creedmoor.

Suggestions.

It's marriage, so it's not what it seems on the surface.

If you go for the deal she will shoot and end up liking the CM better, and then tell you that you can have your .308 back.

You haven't lost anything, but somewhere along the way the rules cha

nged.

Probably should think about over time or a second job. She sounds like an expensive date.;)

Lost my Handi-rifle that way. Now I just lose half my ammo when we shoot the same cartridge. Take 200 to the range to split and she'll be out and asking for some of mine.

It's not that I mind, it's just that I can't figure out how she can run 150 rounds through a Handi while I shoot 50 through an AR!:)

There's a lot of worse problems than a wife that shares your hobby. Let her get some experience with some different rifles and chamberings, then take her shopping.

Wait till the wife lays eyes on your new heavy gun.
Sorry Rick I believe your gonna be SOL!!!

if you're able to say "sorry" you're a better man than me. With my wife, once she sees something that's "mine" (an oxymoron in itself; she says "what's mine is mine and what's yours is mine") there's no arguing or discussion. It's hers. I can't remember too many times she didn't get what she wanted. It's just a matter of when

Sell the 308 and go buy two 6.5 Creedmoor’s. That should make things simpler,
BEST, Solution ^^^^ Everyone knows that,.. the 6.5 Creed, outdoes,.. the .308
Smart Women, catch on to, this quickly once, the Creed's "Merits" and Ballistic's, are, explained !
And, she'll LIKE,.. the lower Recoil !
A,.. Win - Win !

Fortunately, we don't need overtime or a second job. She's an executive and I do extremly well. House and cars paid off.

I just thought it was funny that she wanted MY rifle as opposed to buying one herself. I love the way my Savage shoots so I picked the 6mm Elite. I will already be more then comfortable with it.

I guess the answer is to not let her shoot the 6mm.

Shrewd is what she is so you give her the 308 and you get the 6mm
but them she see's or already knows, what a blast it is to shoot the little Creed
and takes that one for herself
a win, win, win happily ever after
